SCOTTISH comic book writer Mark Millar has revealed that he wants Harry Potter star Emma Watson to star in his new film.

The 43-year-old, responsible for Kick-Ass and Wanted, has earmarked Watson - who recently starred in The Bling Ring, about a group of young thieves stealing from Hollywood’s rich and famous - to take the lead female role in ‘The Secret Service.’

A source close to Millar told The Sun: “The director, Matthew Vaughan, is deep in talks with Emma right now.

“It would be a surprise if she turned him down as The Secret Service is going to be huge.”

The film follows a young delinquent named Gary, who is recruited by the secret service, and receives training from Michael Caine and Colin Firth.

A number of cameo roles have reportedly been agreed, including one from singer and pianist Elton John.

With filming due to start in the next few weeks, Millar - who admitted he ‘cant believe’ his luck at the assembled cast - will be appearing at Glasgow Cineworld later in August for the premiere for Kick-Ass 2, starring Jim Carrey.
