British Land climbing high, but Brexit a looming threat
Annual profits at British Land, the company behind London's 'Cheesegrater' skyscraper, have climbed 16 per cent to £363 million, but the developer also warned of the threat of a possible Brexit.
“We remain confident in the strength of the business despite continued global macro uncertainty and the potentially adverse impact of a vote for the UK to leave the European Union,” the firm said.
Last week, Clydesdale Bank signed a 15-year lease to take up space at the Cheesegrater, officially called the Leadenhall Building.
