• Phoenix – The London–listed IT company is investing £5m into its site at Hamilton to cope with a rise in the number of customers bringing work back to the UK from overseas.
• Wood Group – Caltex has extended its contract with the Aberdeen–based energy services firm to run its two refineries in Australia for a further 18 months in a A$45m (£31m) deal.

Hide Ad• Wrights Hardware – Bank of Scotland has given financial backing to the Ayrshire–based hardware chain to help it open a branch at Forres, in Moray. Wrights now has seven branches.
• Taragenyx – The medical technology firm, which is based at Sir Tom Hunter’s Entrepreneurial Spark incubator centre in Glasgow, has raised £1.3 million in seed funding from Kelvin Capital, Lancaster Capital and the Scottish Investment Bank.
