Director Dealings: NetDimensions chief adds 50,000 shares to holding

DESPITE reporting losses recently, NetDimensions is continuing to invest heavily to expand its products and global markets.

The company, which develops software to help companies and organisations deliver training and meet compliance requirements, said last week that although sales increased last year, the rapid growth of its business operations had hit profits.

It has also been affected by the settlement of a patent infringement case.

But the company said it continues to sees growing demand for its services and is looking to expand into new markets overseas. It is also planning to develop its existing presence in the US. Following the results, non-executive director Sanjay Vaze bought 50,000 shares at 23p each. He now holds 357,500 shares.

• David Taylor-Smith, chief executive of the UK security services arm of G4S, has sold 19,823 shares at 252p.

n Brian Stephens, a non-executive director at executive search firm Norman Broadbent, has bought 5,000 shares at 95p each. It was his first purchase of shares in the company.

• Two directors at Edinburgh-based oil and gas exploration company Melrose Resources have increased their holdings. Chairman Robert Adair purchased 83,000 shares at 290p to increase his holding to 58.33 million and chief executive David Thomas bought 8,295 shares at the same price and now holds 150,000.

• Two directors at Regenersis, which owns Inchinnan-based Total Repair Solutions, have increased their stakes following positive results last week. Chief executive Gary Stokes bought 15,000 shares and chief financial officer Jeremy Wilson bought 50,000 shares, all at 42.5p. The company said the integration of its Scottish interests was ahead of schedule.

• Daniel Dayan, chief executive of fibres group Fiberweb, his increased his stake with the purchase of 129,000 shares at 62p each. He now owns more than 1.1 million. Finance director Daniel Adams also bought 96,000 shares at the same price and now owns 435,309 shares.

• John Pluthero, chairman of telecommunications group Cable & Wireless Worldwide, has increased his stake. He bought 135,912 shares at 73.6p a time and now has more than 3.16 million shares in the company.

• Andrew MacKay, head of the Asia Pacific region for spreadbetting group IG, has reduced his family's stake in the company.

His wife Emily sold 456,225 shares at 507.6p. The couple now hold 411,462 shares.
