The charity set up to focus on Dundee's industrial past has appointed Perth-based marketing and PR agency Volpa to drive awareness of its work, notably planned restorative work on RRS Discovery and 20 years of the Verdant Works Jute Museum.

Volpa, which has clients including The Enchanted Forest, Oor Wullie’s Bucket Trail and solicitor-estate agent Miller Hendry, said it is looking forward to bringing stories of Dundee Heritage Trust (DHT) to life.

Kim Adamson, sales and marketing officer at the DHT, said: “We are really pleased to have welcomed Volpa on board to work alongside [us] in what is set to be an exciting period of change, particularly as our historic vessel, the RRS Discovery goes through some major restoration work."

She also said the DHT hopes that in working with Volpa, it can highlight its work in Dundee and nationally.

Tricia Fox, managing director of Volpa, also commented, saying: “This year, Volpa has seen a steady growth, both internally and externally."

She added that it is "excited" to have continued to grow its client base, which also includes The Famous Grouse Experience.

The agency was also recently appointed by Perth & Kinross Council’s City of Culture 2021 bid to manage the social media for the exciting campaign.

Fox added: “This five-year project is one that will place a spotlight on Perth, and we are ready to help position Perth as a major contender to become City of Culture 2021.”
