New lease of life for refurbished Lewis castle
The refurbished and restored Lews Castle, which overlooks Stornoway Harbour and was built in the mid-1800s, is expected to attract at least 50,000 people to the Hebrides each year.
Matt Spence, founder of Natural Retreats, said: “Lews Castle offers something for everyone, whether you are seeking an event venue with a difference, or a Scottish castle wedding in a beautiful location, or just looking for lunch made from local produce.

From early next year, the castle’s upper floor will offer luxury self-catering accommodation, with 23 en-suite bedrooms. The site is also home to the Museum nan Eilean.
