Glasgow’s Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel has announced when it’ll reopen, following the latest guidance from the Scottish Government.

The five star hotel, located close to the city centre will reopen on 15 July, following the latest guidance from the Scottish Government.

The announcement was made by their new hotel manager Gillian Mylles, who was appointed at the beginning of this year, after working at their sister property Kimpton Charlotte Square in Edinburgh.

Gillian said: “We are happy to announce we’ll be re-opening from mid-July and taking bookings from today for overnight stays in the hotel. We cannot wait to welcome guests back through our doors.

“Throughout our most challenging time yet, our commitment to true hospitality has never changed. We’ve been using this time when the hotel has been closed to review how we operate as a safe place to stay and still provide the experience of luxurious glamour and escapism that our guests enjoy.

“Above all, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our top priority; we have implemented new hygiene procedures above our standard protocols and enforced social distancing measures to keep people safe.

“In reception, our great Glasgow welcome won’t be any less warm as a result of our reduced contact check-in and touchless transactions. We’ve removed in-room collateral or other high touch items in the guest rooms and there will be additional deep cleaning of high touch services in every room of the hotel, as well as the provision of hand sanitiser among other safety measures.”
