16 die in Ukrainian care home blaze
Ukrainian officials said a fire at a home for the elderly killed 16 people and injured 11 others.
A statement from the Emergencies Ministry said the fire broke out early yesterday in the one-storey wood-and-brick building in Bile in the Dubrovitskogo region, about 180 miles west of the capital Kiev. There were 25 residents and two staff in the building.
