Divers from the Grampian Police underwater search team recovered a body yesterday as they searched the River Don near the couple's home.

Earlier yesterday, as the search began, Inspector Willie Findlay, who was leading the search operation, said there had been heavy rain and winds in the area in the early hours of Monday morning when Mrs Anderson disappeared.

He added: "There is obviously the possibility that she has maybe slipped down by the river bank and then fallen into the water."
