Britons give £37m to needy Africans
The British public has donated £37 million to help drought victims in East Africa, it was announced yesterday.
The Disasters Emergency Committee said UK donors were "making a big difference" to those affected by the region's worst drought for 60 years. Millions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Republic of South Sudan are in need of aid.
