David Goodwillie assault trial adjourned

THE trial of footballer David Goodwillie for assault has been adjourned until later in the year.

The Scotland international and Blackburn Rovers striker was due to go up in court on Monday after being accused of assaulting a man on Glasgow Queen Street in November 2010.

However Glasgow Sheriff Court was told there had been difficulties obtaining statements from the complainer and a witness.
