Flu pandemic could kill 63,700
MORE than 60,000 Scots could die if a major flu outbreak hits the country, a new report revealed.
The Scottish Executive's updated contingency plan sets out its response to any future influenza pandemic.
It estimated that if 50 per cent of the population become infected with flu, the death toll could be between 10,200 and 63,700.
