Hide AdMcFarlane, 39, of Bathgate, West Lothian, pleaded guilty to malicious damage and breach of the peace when he appeared from custody at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.
Graham Fraser, prosecuting, said the accused’s wife had left him after 11 years of marriage and was now living with her new partner.
Sheriff Gerald Warner deferred sentence for six months for good behaviour.
He told McFarlane that if he paid for the damage and demonstrated that the offence was a “one-off” he would be admonished.
