Lucozade bottles withdrawn from shelves

DRINKS maker GlaxoSmithKline has withdrawn all bottles of Lucozade Sport Lite Summer Berries from retailers and distributors due to "mould growth".

The company said it had taken 500ml bottles and multipacks off retailers' shelves on a precautionary basis, warning that a small number of the drinks may have an "unpleasant smell and taste". It also said it had temporarily suspended production of the drink.

The Food Standards Agency issued a Product Withdrawal Information Notice on the energy drink, which is popular with people playing sports.
