Man arrested over Ardrossan attempted murder
A man has been arrested following a brutal assault on a teenager in the North Ayrshire seaside town of Ardrossan.
The 22-year-old is in police custody in connection with the attack on Monday night which left its victim in intensive care.
The 18-year-old is in a critical condition and police are treating the attack as attempted murder.
Strathclyde Police said their inquiries show that the man was involved in a fight with another person. They are looking at CCTV images and carrying out door-to-door inquiries to find out more.
