Minor injuries clinic success
AN advertising campaign to dissuade people from going to the city's accident and emergency wards unnecessarily has been a success.
NHS Lothian launched the appeal toward the end of last year to get more people visiting the minor injuries unit at the Western General.
Although no statistics are ready to prove the difference, staff at both units said they had noticed a tangible difference since the newspaper, radio and bus billboard initiative.
