THE UK government is committed to the proposed high-speed rail network extending as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scottish Secretary Michael Moore said yesterday.
Labour's Tom Greatrex told MPs the coalition was sending out "confusing" messages about its plans to extend the line north of the Border. But Mr Moore insisted he was a "passionate supporter" of such a move.
