Music player aids woman
AN EDINBURGH woman who began to lose her eyesight two years ago is one of the first to benefit from a music player designed for the partially sighted.
Anne Dignan, 55, received the Concerto device, which has bright raised buttons and plays radio, CDs and cassetes, from the British Wireless for the Blind Fund.
She said: "I love listening to talking books and newspapers and have access to audio theatre listings so I don't miss a thing. It's very intuitive to use."
Anne is a keen member of the Hillside art group at the Royal National Institute for the Blind's headquarters.
