On the road to cleaner cab journeys

KENNY MacAskill MSP and Central Taxis chairman Bill Purnell welcomed the firm's pledge to be the first black cab firm in Scotland to go carbon neutral for pre-booked journeys.

The company is working to offset its CO2 emissions through a project in China which uses methane from coal mines to supply gas to homes and businesses.

Mr Purnell said: "Central Taxis is leading the way in taking responsibility for the unavoidable emissions associated with car travel."
