If the Conservatives win again then the Nationalists can continue to argue that the choice is between the Tories and independence.
What the Tories and the SNP have in common is that neither of their economic and budgetary plans add up.

The Institute for Fiscal Studies has raised serious questions about whether the Tory plans for welfare and other cuts could actually be achieved.
