Letter: Iain Gray upstaged

It IS astonishing that such a clever and experienced politician like Harriet Harman chose to describe Danny Alexander as a ginger rodent in her speech to the Scottish Labour Party conference at the weekend.

One of the commentators at the conference claimed that this gaffe overshadowed the keynote speech made by leader Iain Gray. I would not be so unkind as to suggest that this is what Harman intended, although the saying that it's an ill wind that blows no good springs to mind.
