Letter: Tout of order
At last we're hopefully doing something about ticket touts (your report, 26 August).
I have been in the Lawnmarket area most evenings during the festival and last week overheard people selling tickets to a Spanish couple at 40 each then charging a total of 140. When the couple responded that it should be 80, the reply from one of the touts was "commission". That's 60 commission.
The couple had already given over 80.
When told it was 140 they said "no" and were given their money back. This is bad for Edinburgh and the festival.
