Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg, East Prussia, Germany) was never a part of Lithuania, even after the Second World War, when Lithuania was a part of the Soviet Union (your report, 14 June).

That part of former East Prussia that included the former Königsberg became a special territory of the Soviet Union.
