To crown it hall
Years of broadly based programming have brought performances and performers of outstanding quality to a small hall that has proved itself as a place where great musicians choose to play.
That it is decidedly substandard in its facilities had not deterred them, but enough is enough and if the Queen’s Hall is to retain its status as a living, vital and very specialist facility, then it desperately needs upgrading. How much better would the money be spent on a dynamic, developing facility than on a couple of dubious “artworks”. But then I guess these will need no maintenance and will be seen by lots and lots of people. Wow!
