Police appeal after attack on Ayrshire teenager

POLICE are appealing for help after a teenager was taken to hospital following an attack in Ayrshire last night.

The victim was assaulted by a man described as wearing a hooded top.

The 18-year-old man was attacked as he walked along Huntersfield Road, Johnstone, at around 9pm on Friday night.

He sustained lacerations to his body and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he remains in a stable condition.

The suspect made off in the direction of Cartside. He was wearing dark clothing with a hood.

The victim was unable to confirm if any type of weapon was used.
