Proclaimers on song for young bands
CP Productions, based in West Harbour Road, Granton, received £12,000 under the Cashback for Creativity programme to help develop the careers of musicians.
The Proclaimers dropped by yesterday to celebrate the scheme and meet Jack Hincks and his Band, a group who will benefit from the project.

Hide AdEighteen studios from across Scotland have received investment to allow 12 to 25-year-old musicians to record their first demo tracks and give them access to professional standard recording and rehearsal facilities.
The Cashback for Creativity scheme uses money seized from criminals to invest in dance, film and music programmes.
The Proclaimers’ Charlie and Craig Reid said: “We are delighted to support the Scottish Government’s imaginative policy on community-based funding for worthwhile projects.”
Mr MacAskill said: “Jack Hincks and his Band are some of the scores of young musicians who will benefit – and some might follow the likes of The Proclaimers.”
