Pupils get on a roll in tyre recycling bid
The children, aged between ten and 12, are going head-to-head with pupils across Scotland in a Re-inventing the Wheel art contest, run by Bridgestone and McConechy’s tyre dealerships.
The competition encourages youngsters to think about the environment and all of the schools involved will receive large used Bridgestone truck tyres for the pupils to use as raised beds to grow plants and vegetables, as well as seeds and compost to get them started.
