Retired player picks up new rugby job
James Sloggie, 25, who played for Peebles and a Borders representative side, has been appointed rugby development officer at Midlothian Council.
Mr Sloggie was forced to quit the game after suffering a back injury and turned his attentions to coaching.

Hide AdHe moves into the role from a similar position with Moray Council.
He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to get out into Midlothian and promote rugby as a great sport to all age groups.
“I’ll be working closely with all three clubs in Midlothian alongside Lasswade Rugby Club development officer Jack Forrester and two modern apprentices.”
The three clubs are Dalkeith, Penicuik and Lasswade.
