Roads closed as first snow of winter falls
The first snowfalls to hit the north-east since last winter arrived yesterday morning, causing problems for drivers in a number of upland areas of the Grampian Police force region.
A force spokesman said a number of routes had seen varying levels of snow. The B974 between Banchory and Fettercairn at Cairn O'Mount was closed for a time due to snow and ice causing difficult driving conditions with a number of vehicles stuck on the high level road.
