Ruby to Wax lyrical at graduation event

Comedienne Ruby Wax is to appear as guest of honour at the city's Telford College to hand out honours to graduating students.

The chat show queen will appear at the Higher Education Celebration of Excellence on Thursday.

Ms Wax, who has undertaken an MSc in psychotherapy and has studied neuroscience, has recently become involved in higher education and now gives talks to senior executives in major companies about how our pathologies can affect communication and effectiveness at work.

Principal Miles Dibsdall OBE said: "Having worked with Ruby before, I knew she would be a perfect guest speaker for Telford's graduation ceremony. The further and higher education sectors in the UK are rapidly changing and I am committed to ensuring that Telford is at the forefront of this change."
