Solicitor joins forces with builders to market homes

A CITY property solicitor has teamed up with a group of housebuilding companies in a new initiative to revitalise the Capital's housing market.

Warners Solicitors and Estate Agents unveiled the plan, which will see a selection of properties owned by housebuilders in Edinburgh put up for sale at discounted prices in order to strengthen the companies' ongoing part-exchange schemes in the Lothians.

Dozens of properties are being featured in the scheme - each one obtained by the housebuilding firms through part-exchange deals agreed with their previous owners in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

By marketing the properties at discounted prices below their home report valuations, the housebuilders hope to achieve swift sales in order to maintain their part-exchange schemes.

The properties included in the initiative offer a combined 218,000 worth of savings to prospective buyers, with individual discounts on each property ranging from 15,000 to 35,000.
