Talk of the town: Robbie Williams duet would entertain city girls

IT'S perhaps not the most surprising news in the world - when it comes to a dream karaoke duet most women in Edinburgh would like to sing with Take That star Robbie Williams.

The research, carried out by children's charity Plan UK, found that one in five Edinburgh ladies would choose Robbie as their pitch-perfect partner, while in second place was Welsh crooner Tom Jones.

Plan UK commissioned the study to celebrate the launch of Girls Night Sing, a karaoke songfest to mark the centenary of International Women's Day yesterday.

But be warned, Newsroom quizmaster Dr Paul says: "My quiz is slightly more anarchic than most. If there's a draw, I tend to finish things with a dance-off or a joke contest."
