Tennis star Jamie Murray to wed in Dunblane

TENNIS player Jamie Murray is set to marry his Colombian girlfriend today in his hometown of Dunblane - with brother Andy as best man.

The wedding ceremony between the 24-year-old mixed doubles champion and Alejandra Gutierrez is due to take place this afternoon in the Perthshire town.

Murray's nuptials follow a stag night organised by world number four tennis star Andy at a nightclub in London last month.

The couple, who met two years ago when Ms Gutierrez was a student in London, had their banns posted in the window of the registry office in Dunblane earlier this month.

It is believed the wedding party will sport kilts made of the traditional blue and green tartan Murray of Elibank.

Judy and William Murray, the brothers' separated parents, are both expected to attend, while Andy, 23, is likely to be accompanied by his girlfriend Kim Sears, 22.

Details about the location of the event have been kept under wraps.

"We are not courting publicity over this," said Jamie's agent yesterday.

On his Twitter account over the past couple of days, Jamie has pondered the weighty issues of romance, with tweets including "Love is a game that two can play and both win" and "Love is being stupid together".
