Police investigate Dundee and Aberdeen car thefts
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Thieves broke into offices at Avis Car Rental Ltd in Old Glamis Road, some time between 1.20am and 7.30am, before stealing a black Volkswagen Golf – registration FT13 ZDE – and a black Citroen C4 – registration KW62 FMY. The vehicles have a combined value in excess of £40,000.
“At the same time adjacent offices at Tay Telecom were broken into and two silver-coloured lap top computers stolen – one an Acer Aspire worth £600 and the other an HP-make worth more than £1000. “

Hide AdHe continued: “Officers want to trace two men who were seen acting suspiciously in the area at about 10pm on Wednesday night. One of the men was described as being six feet tall, thin and was wearing dark-coloured Evisu jeans and a light blue zip-up tracksuit top.
“Tayside Division also wants to identify three men who were also seen acting suspiciously at these premises between 1.20am and 2.10am.”
Meanwhile Police Scotland said today that three cars had been stolen from a single domestic property in the Bridge of Don area of Aberdeen early this morning.
The vehicles stolen were a red Mitsubishi L200, a white Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
A force spokeswoman said: “We would like to take this opportunity to appeal to people to ensure that their vehicles are kept secure in order to deter opportunistic thieves.”
