DAVID Miliband's career on the Labour frontbench appeared all but over today after tensions with his brother Ed spilled into the open.

With nominations for the party's top team set to close at 5pm, the shadow foreign secretary was widely expected to confirm that he will not seek re-election.

DEFENCE secretary Liam Fox warned the Prime Minister of "grave consequences" if "Draconian" spending cuts are made while the country is at war.

Police quiz 19 over 6m online banking thefts

HI-TECH crime police were today questioning 19 people suspected of orchestrating a multi-million-pound attack on British bank accounts.

Up to 6 million has been taken from online accounts in just three months by a gang of computer hackers.

They used a virus known as "zeus" to infect computers and capture the passwords and other sensitive details of banking customers.

Their money was then transferred into bogus accounts created by the crooks.

UK terror plot uncovered

INTELLIGENCE officials have intercepted a credible Islamist-linked terror plot against Britain, it emerged today.

The threat is one of "a succession" of terror operations the country has been dealing with over the past weeks, a government official said.

The attack would have reportedly been similar to the deadly commando-style raids in Mumbai, India, two years ago.

FORMER US president Bill Clinton will use a visit to Northern Ireland today to promote the prospect of American investment in the region.

His two-day trip comes ahead of a major Northern Ireland investment conference in Washington next month to be hosted by Hillary Clinton.

The supermarket, in Crayford is more than 100,000 square feet, and will dedicate more than half its space to food and drink. The retailer has also recently opened its largest store in Scotland.
