Breakthrough talks with Burma rebels
Burma’s government has reached a breakthrough in talks with two major armed ethnic groups after negotiations on ending decades of ethnic violence, participants said.
The Karen National Union and the Shan State Army – South both agreed with the government to move ceasefire talks forward on a state and national level.
