Chavez to take gold into state control
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has said he plans to nationalise the gold sector, including extraction and processing, and use the revenues to boost the country’s international reserves.
The socialist leader said he would issue a decree in the coming days and called on the military to help control the sector.
