Romney stretches Republican lead
A US poll shows Mitt Romney increasing his lead to 11 per cent over challenger Rick Santorum as the Republican presidential campaign intensified prior to Super Tuesday’s crucial votes in ten states.
The latest poll showed Mr Romney with 35 per cent support, compared to 24 per cent for Mr Santorum.
