Bannan will battle for a place at Villa
ASTON Villa midfielder Barry Bannan is prepared to fight for a first-team place rather than go out on loan.
Scotland international Bannan, 21, said: “I’ve had loan spells before at Derby and then last season at Blackpool which was brilliant for me. But I don’t really want to go out on loan again. Now I’ve played in the Premier League, I think I’m good enough to play for this club.”
