Celitc sign Mexican striker Gustavo Ruelas on loan

Neil Lennon has added another striker to Celtic's forward line following the loan signing of Gustavo Ruelas from Mexican side Santos Laguna.

The 19-year-old will has signed a short-term deal with the Parkhead club having the option to buy at the end of this season.

Ruelas who has both Mexican and US citizenship is a member of the United States' Under-20 side.

The signing is the first product of an agreement reached between the two clubs earlier this month to foster greater cooperation

A statement from Santos read:

"As part of a co-operation agreement between Santos Laguna and Celtic, it has been confirmed a temporary arrangement with an option to buy for our player, Gustavo Adrian Ruelas Aguilar, has been reached with the Scottish team."
