John Guidetti: I want to win the quadruple
The on-loan Manchester City striker made his startling claim after scoring Celtic’s opener in the 2-0 home win over Kilmarnock yesterday which nudged them closer to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic have now won six of their last seven games in all competitions and are currently on course to reach the last 32 of the Europa League after remaining unbeaten in their first three group games. Guidetti, who will not be eligible to play in Europe for Celtic until they reach the knockout phase, is confident they can add that trophy to a domestic treble. “I want to win the quadruple,” he said. “This is what I want so we have to focus on every single game. The team have done so well in the Europa League and I can’t wait to get to the next stage.”

Hide AdDeila has expressed a desire to try and secure Guidetti’s services on a permanent basis. But the player, who has scored five goals in seven appearances so far, is uncertain what his future holds. “When the manager says that, it makes he happy,” added Guidetti. “I have not been offered anything yet. To play for Celtic is a great honour and this is a beautiful place to be. But I have to focus on right now.” Deila was gratified to see both Guidetti and his strike partner Stefan Scepovic score against a Kilmarnock side who had to play with ten men for more than an hour after their captain Manuel Pascali was sent off.
“The positives were to see the strikers scoring and the fact Kilmarnock didn’t really get a chance against us,” said Deila.
Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston had no complaints about the dismissal of Pascali.
“It looked like a sending-off,” he said.
