Changing Room Chat: Tony Mowbray’s green unpleasant land

MIDDLESBROUGH is a nicer environment to work in than Celtic – so says manager Tony Mowbray, who seems to be enjoying his time at the Riverside a lot more than he did his nine-month spell at Parkhead.

“The Scottish League is a unique environment. It is really just two teams so at Celtic you were either first or a failure,” explains Mowbray.

“There, it was win or else. Here [at Middlesbrough], it is a long-term process and, if we don’t make it to the Premier League this season, then I don’t think my job will be under threat. That is a much more pleasant environment to work in.”
