ST Johnstone captain Dave Mackay has succesfully overturned his red card from last week’s 3-0 defeat by Celtic.

The defender’s reprieve came as no surprise following Celtic winger Derk Boerrigter’s acceptance of a two-match ban for diving for the penalty that Mackay conceded.

Mackay is now free to face Aberdeen at McDiarmid Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
