Douglas in Poland to seal move from Dundee United
Douglas, whose contract with the Tannadice club expires in the summer, flew to Poznan yesterday for a medical with a view to signing a lucrative deal with the ambitious Eastern European outfit.
The 23-year-old joined United from Queen’s Park back in 2010 and became a first-team regular with the Tangerines in the season just past, making 34 appearances.

Hide AdNow the Glasgow-born full-back is poised to jump at the chance of a move to the Poles who will be playing in European football next season after finishing fourth in the Ekstraklasa last season.
Poznan currently sit second behind Legia Warsaw, who have already been crowned champions, with two games remaining, so Douglas will be guaranteed getting on the European stage provided the finishing touches can be put to the move.
Douglas will join former United skipper Jon Daly in leaving Tannadice after the Irishman agreed a deal to join Rangers at the weekend while Willo Flood mulls over his future. Rory Boulding, Steve Banks, and Marcus Tornstrad are also out of contract this summer.
