Rangers' game with Betfred Cup finalists Livingston postponed
David Martindale’s side defeated St Mirren 1-0 in the weekend’s semi-final to set up a crack at silverware with St Johnstone on Febraury 28, but were already scheduled to be playing Steven Gerrard’s team that day – the weekend after the Europa league knock-out round second leg with Royal Antwerp.
The Lions' cup final role means the league match on the synthetic surface will be given a new date, either in March or brought forward a week when both sides have a free weekend set aside for Scottish Cup ties which are dependent on the suspension of the lower leagues being lifted.
