School sports: Roffe and Ritchie shine at Braehead
The exciting new event also included primary schools and Owen Vinter (Mearns Primary) and Mhairi Crooks (St Andrew’s Primary, Glasgow) claimed the honours.
In addition, there were classes for boarders, with Jacob Robertson (Trinity High School) and Jackson Peek (Battlefield Primary) taking the boys’ titles. The girls’ boarders only attracted two entries. Grantown Grammar’s Rebecca Shepherd and Niamh O’Neill-Berest (St John’s Primary) won the events – and showing an excellent standard.
