School sports: Woodfarm High pupil joins panel
The 15-year-old was chosen from 178 applicants to join the panel that influences and lobbies Scotland’s national sports agency on behalf of young people. In the coming years Sportscotland believe that the panel will help shape the future of sport in Scotland and, hopefully, raise the profile of sport among youngsters.
“It is a great opportunity for young people in Scotland to voice their opinion about sport and physical activity,” said Sophie. “This will hopefully help make a difference not only within Woodfarm High School but in the wider community. I have enjoyed working as part of a team and with individuals who share the same enthusiasm about sport as me and I am looking forward to helping develop a lasting sports legacy in Scotland.”
