McQueenie will not give up on Easthouses Lily

Easthouses Lily are hanging on by their finger tips in the hope of achieving a promotion spot from the Central Taxis First Division and with only seven games left, realistically, they must win all of them.

"There is still a lot to play for although the ball is really in the court of Gretna 2008 who are in second position because I cannot imagine that leaders Leith Athletic are going to slip up," said the Easthouses manager, David McQueenie. "If we win our seven games we will see where it takes us."

Tomorrow, Easthouses travel to meet Ormiston who they defeated 2-1 in their earlier league meeting. "To be honest I thought that we were lucky to take all three points that night," added McQueenie. "We stole all three points in that game and I would be happy to do the same tomorrow. Ormiston are a good side and had a cracking result last Saturday when they drew 3-3 with Leith Athletic."

Easthouses have Johnny Baigrie out with a calf injury and Graeme Young is suspended.

Ormiston, meanwhile, will be without the suspended Kevin Barr while Craig Downie and Jason Young are doubtful.

"We are in a false position in the table and we are definitely a better team than second bottom position," said Ormiston secretary John Greenhorn.

Meanwhile, Mark Lamb, the Coldstream manager, has informed the club that he will be standing down at the end of the season and looking for a new team. "Trying to attract players to travel to Coldstream has been very hard," said Lamb. "I cannot take the club any further although I will stay until the end of the season along with the backroom staff of Jimmy Rae and Ally Black."
