New Zealand club tie off

Christchurch-based club Crusaders have withdrawn from this weekend's Super Rugby encounter against rivals the Hurricanes following the earthquake that struck their city this week.

The decision comes after more than 75 people were killed by the 6.3 magnitude quake with many more people still trapped in collapsed buildings.

SANZAR, the body that governs the Southern Hemisphere competition, confirmed the news, saying that the two teams had agreed to declare the clash a draw with the teams awarded two points each.
