Rugby: Gala host tie cup

Newcastle's Amlin Challenge Cup game against Exeter today has been moved 70 miles from a frozen Kingston Park to Galashiels.

The switch followed a pitch inspection by European Rugby Cup officials. Netherdale became the only viable option because of its undersoil heating. The game will kick off at 1pm.

Exeter have a link with their hosts through their Galashiels-born Andy Miller who played for Gala and the Borders.
